Helen became a Crossroads’ staff member in June 2010. She grew up volunteering for many different organizations, including the local food bank, her church, and more. The transition to helping women and families was a natural one for her. Helen’s passion at Crossroads is helping women empower themselves through our “Merits for Moms” program, in which women help themselves earn baby and maternity items. She also enjoys making sure all of our clients are served timely and effectively. Helen feels as though she’s found her calling in life and looks forward to working with many more women and families.

Felicia began her journey with Crossroads as a pre-intern in August 2011. Teaching Crossroads’ Aspire program and helping out at the center, she fell in love with Crossroads’ mission, and in January 2012, she took on the title of Executive Assistant. Felicia grew up volunteering around her community and helping others through her church programs, quickly discovering her love for serving God. In December 2012, she will graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in General Family and Consumer Sciences and hopes to obtain a Master’s in Psychological Counseling, eventually earning the title of Licensed Professional Counselor. Felicia truly enjoys working with the young adults in the community, and has a heart for those who feel lost. Felicia has a mission to give all that she can, and if she can help to change one person’s life, then she has done what God has asked of her.
Crossroads’ Medical Team is led by our Medical Director Dr. John Bloss, M.D. and Nurse Manager Jennifer Peltier, R.N. Licensed ultrasonographers currently include Carisse Payne and Nancy Miller.
Crossroads is also blessed with dedicated and compassionate volunteers, some of whom are trained to be Client Advocates and thus provide support services to clients. We also have a close relationship with the Family and Consumer Sciences Department at Nicholls State University, and most semesters we are blessed to have an NSU-FACS intern helping our Center grow.
